The Baltimore Beer Tap Museum. Not quite in the guidebooks yet, but a recent visitor brought out of town guests to tour Mark Supik & Co. this month. Our new, expanded beer tap handle museum was a big hit and he posted some great photos on his photo blog. You might see some of your local favorites tap markers there or stop by and see them for yourself.

Fiber Artists Make Their Own Tools. We took the advice of our enthusiastic students in our last woodturning class for fiber artists and started our own group on Ravelry (a great website exchange for knitters and crocheters). If you're a Raverly member, join our Mark Supik Woodturning Workshop Group We're asking graduates of the Fiber Arts Tools class to post photos of their brilliant projects.

Jerry Kermode turns to a packed house. We had to get out all the stools, crates and even the folding lawn chairs to accommodate the large crowd of woodturners who came to the shop last month to meet Jerry & Deborah Kermode (visiting Baltimore for the ACC show). It was great to see so many friends from our local woodturning clubs. As always, Jerry put on a great show.

Wine on tap? Rumor has it that wine on tap is the newest trend in the trendiest of bars. We were happy to produce these wooden look-alike wine bottles for 203 Winery's Tapdance. John turned the perfect bottle of wine and Danielle used her finishing magic to turn wood into Chardonnay (right down to the faux foil cap). See more beer, coffee and wine tap handles in our tap handle gallery.

Historic restorations, across the country and right in our own backyard. We've been shipping our custom balusters, newels and curved moldings across the country this year, but are still supplying woodturned stair parts for some great restoration projects right here in Baltimore & Washington. Visit our gallery to see some samples of what we can do. |
