An introduction to woodturning starting with woodturning safety, operation of the lathe, and the use of the three basic tools. Learn the “between center” woodturning techniques used by professional turners for centuries. Have fun applying the bead & cove cuts to create wine stoppers, mallets, honey dippers, weed pots and more. This course is a prerequisite for joining our Basic Bowl Turning class or for attending Project Based Workshops or Open Studios.
